Hello,
I would like to clarify what exactly is behind the different aerosol species available in GFAS wildfire fluxes:
- bcfire (Wildfire flux of Black Carbon): does it correspond to BC in fine mode (0-2.5 um)?
- ocfire (Wildfire flux of Organic Carbon): does it correspond to OC in fine mode (0-2.5 um)?
- pm2p5fire (Wildfire flux of Particulate Matter PM2.5): does it correspond to all fine mode (0-2.5 um) PM that is neither BC nor OC?
- tcfire (Wildfire flux of Total Carbon in Aerosols): what is this exactly and in which size mode? Is this the total OC+BC in fine+coarse mode (0-10 um)?
- tpmfire (Wildfire flux of Total Particulate Matter): again, what is this and in which size mode? Is it the total PM (including OC and BC) in all-sizes mode (0-inf um)?
More specifically, I have a general doubt if some of these species are already included in some others (for instance bcfire being already included in tcfire or tpmfire, etc.). It is important to clarify that to avoid duplicating erroneously some emissions.
Thanks in advance for the clarifications.
Cheers,
Hervé
