Hello there one and all,

I was curious if there had been any desire to run hindcasts for the AIFS ensemble for cases prior to 2025. Perhaps go back a few years? I ask because such hindcasts (perhaps a better term is ‘re-forecast’?) are useful in diagnosing model performance.

Hi Brian,
Hindcasts are a likely addition with v3 of the AIFS.
