# CDS Downloads now fixed

On 9 October 2022 an issue with the CDS SSL certificate used for downloading data was reported.

This is now been resolved and the system is fully operational.

 This issue can be overcome by setting the "verify" flag to 0. in the **$HOME/.cdsapirc** file as show in the example here: [https://pypi.org/project/cdsapi/](https://pypi.org/project/cdsapi/)
