# Delayed update of Soil moisture gridded data following issue identification

**Important notice for users of the [Soil moisture gridded data from 1978 to present](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/satellite-soil-moisture?tab=overview) dataset**

The regular 10-day ICDR data updates was temporarily suspended since 20 September 2026 after the data providers identified gaps affecting the period 1-20 September 2026.

The issue has now been resolved, and the corrected data for this period has today, Wednesday 21 October 2026, been republished under a new version, **v202505.2**. Regular ICDR updates will resume thereafter. The issue has been documented as a Known issue.

Please note that the affected files will remain available under **v202505** , but this version should no longer be used.

### What action is required?

If you downloaded **v202505 or v202505.1** data covering **1-20 September 2026** , please download the corrected version ( **v202505.2** ) .

Users accessing the dataset via the API will also need to update their scripts to retrieve data from **v202505.2**.
