We are pleased to announce that a significant extension of the [Global sea level change time series from 1950 to 2050 derived from reanalysis and high resolution CMIP6 climate projections](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/sis-water-level-change-timeseries-cmip6?tab=overview) dataset was published today, 20 January 2025, in the Climate Data Store (CDS).

Water levels and surges for the reanalysis experiment forced with ERA5 data are now available in version 2 of the dataset.

This version of the dataset also includes the extension of the dataset to period 1950-2024 (compared to the original 1979-2018), and a new version of the 1979 data with improved spin-up and sea level rise values consistent with the extended dataset.

[Documentation](https://confluence.ecmwf.int/x/LiI7E) has been updated accordingly.

For any enquiries regarding this dataset, please [contact us](https://climate.copernicus.eu/help-and-support).
