Dear all, I would like to ask you if there is a “grib filter” option, similar to the NOMADS one, to choose specific ensemble member to download from the IFS runs (operational and archive).

I know that a MARS licence can provide access to a similar service, but what if we cannot have a MARS account?

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately, the ‘grib filter’ functionality is currently only available through our paid access options, which helps cover the computational costs for on-demand data processing. For open and free data access, we provide pre-defined datasets through our Open Data portal, though with more limited filtering options compared to the full service.

We are investigating whether we could provide more functionality in the future. If we implement this, we will announce it to all users.

Kind regards,
Emma
