We would like to inform CDS users that the **EUMETSAT OSI SAF sea ice concentration ICDR product (OSI-430-b)** and the **C3S sea ice edge and sea ice type products** will have missing data files for following two dates in February 2021: 20 Feb 2021 and 21 Feb 2021. These products are available in the following CDS datasets:

- [Sea ice concentration daily gridded data from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dataset/satellite-sea-ice-concentration?tab=overview)
- [Sea ice edge and type daily gridded data from 1979 to present derived from satellite observations](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dataset/satellite-sea-ice-edge-type?tab=overview)

The missing files are the consequence of an outage of SSMIS satellite data. Further information about this issue can be found in this [news story](http://www.osi-saf.org/?q=content/osi-saf-sea-ice-products-missing-input-data-ssmis) published by OSI SAF.

Furthermore, the **C3S sea ice edge and sea ice type products** for 19 Feb 2021 (available in the CDS on 7th March) will contain missing data the following sectors:

- Norther Hemisphere: small sector north of Canada.
- Southern Hemisphere: small sector in the Davis Sea (~90ºE).

We apologise for the inconvenience.
