We are pleased to announce that a new dataset has been published in the Climate Data Store (CDS):

- [Precipitation monthly and daily gridded data from 2000 to 2017 derived from satellite microwave observations](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dataset/satellite-precipitation-microwave?tab=overview)

Global estimates of daily accumulated and monthly means of precipitation are based on a merge of passive microwave observations from two different radiometer classes:

- Conically scanning MW imagers;
- Cross-track scanning MW sounders.

The dataset may now be downloaded from the Climate Data Store either interactively using the CDS web interface ("Download data") or programmatically using the&nbsp;[CDS API service](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/api-how-to).
