# New parameters in the CAMS global atmospheric composition forecasts

We are pleased to announce that two new parameters have been added to the [CAMS global atmospheric composition forecasts](https://ads.atmosphere.copernicus.eu/datasets/cams-global-atmospheric-composition-forecasts?tab=overview):

- Total column volcanic sulphur dioxide (tc\_VSO2)
- Volcanic sulphur dioxide (VSO2)

The data can be downloaded via the Atmosphere Data Store [webform](https://ads.atmosphere.copernicus.eu/datasets/cams-global-atmospheric-composition-forecasts?tab=download) or the [API](https://ads.atmosphere.copernicus.eu/how-to-api). If you use the API please build your request on the webform and click the ‘Show API request’ button.

The [relevant documentation](https://confluence.ecmwf.int/x/5cqpD) has been updated with details in [guideline number 2](https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/CKB/CAMS%3A+Global+atmospheric+composition+forecast+data+documentation#CAMS:Globalatmosphericcompositionforecastdatadocumentation-Guidelines).
