# Pre-operational GloFAS v3.1 data available from the Climate Data Store

We are pleased to inform you that pre-operational GloFAS v3.1 data is now available from the&nbsp;[Climate Data Store (CDS)](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/), ahead of the official cycle launch scheduled for late May.

The datasets are accessible from the Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS) ([https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/#!/search?text=glofas](https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/#!/search?text=glofas)) from 15 April 2021 as additional _pre-operational_ datasets, to compliment the operational version. This aims to help users conduct any necessary preparatory work ahead of the GloFAS v3.1 cycle release, which involves a major modelling upgrade.
