I’ve noticed at least three unusual wind field distributions over the Bay of Bengal, with a very high wind speed concentrated in the same location in the North West (see the top-left three figures in the grid attached) The figures show maximum wind speed over a single day. The offending days occur in 1952. 1992, and 2020 and the wind speeds reach 50-60mps for two of the examples.

I’m treating these as outliers and removing them from my dataset but was wondering if anyone could shed more light on what this might be.
