To the attention of users of ERA5/ERA5-Land post-processed daily statistics data:
Ahead of the planned Data Stores maintenance system session on Wednesday 18 March 2026, it will be necessary to temporally close the queues for a few hours only for downloading ERA5 daily data i.e
- ERA5-Land post-processed daily statistics from 1950 to present
- ERA5 post-processed daily statistics on single levels from 1940 to present
- ERA5 post-processed daily statistics on pressure levels from 1940 to present
To allow the vast majority of submitted ERA5 daily data requests to run to completion before the planned system session starts, the CDS will stop accepting new request for daily ERA5 datasets from Tuesday 17 March, 5pm GMT. Queues will reopen again after the system session ends, currently scheduled to end by 1pm GMT on Wednesday 18 March. Please refer to the ECMWF Services Status page for latest updates. We will confirm in this Forum topic when queues will have reopened.
Should your request for ERA5 daily data fail to complete in time, we recommend users to wait until queues are re-opened on Wednesday 18 March before submitting their request again.
