CAMS European air quality forecasts dataset now available from ADS-Beta - please migrate to ADS-Beta as soon as possible

We are pleased to announce that the CAMS European air quality forecasts dataset
is now available to download from ADS-Beta:

Note that the only difference with the old system is in the format widget, which has been renamed to data format (or data_format in the API) and for which the netcdf option is now “zipped netCDF” (or netcdf_zip in the API). This is because some requests (on both the old system and the Beta equally) can generate more than one netCDF file and so the output needs to be a zip. Ensuring the file is always a zip provides more clarity on the returned format.
We will continue to support API requests containing format=netcdf invisibly for the mean time, so existing API requests can be re-used without alterations and will work as they always have done, but this syntax is now considered deprecated.

As also announced today, the legacy ADS is to be decommissioned on 26 September 2024.

ADS users are therefore urged to migrate to the ADS-Beta as soon as possible. Please follow our Quick guides and details available from our Informative page.

Should you encounter any difficulties, please don’t hesitate to either check on this forum (someone else may have had a similar experience and a solution was found) or feel free to contact our Support team via the ECMWF Support Portal.

Many thanks,
