CAMS global analyses and forecasts of CO2 and CH4 upgraded to the latest model cycle CY47R1

We would like to inform you that we have upgraded the CAMS global analyses and forecasts of CO2 and CH4 to the latest model cycle of ECMWF's Integrated Forecasting System (IFS). This new cycle, CY47R1, replaces the current CY46R1 cycle. Forecasts from both the current and the new cycle have been available in parallel since 1 November 2020, but we will discontinue CY46R1 soon. We therefore ask you to adapt your data acquisition to make use of the new cycle.

The upgrade does not result in significant changes to the CO2 and CH4 concentrations and a full assessment can be found in the evaluation document, https://atmosphere.copernicus.eu/sites/default/files/2020-10/CAMS84_2018SC2_D3.2.1-202009_esuite.pdf, specifically in section 3.
