CDS has been really slow for several months now. Small requests take hours or days. Are you under attack? Is it just too many users? If so why did it get so popular?
Is there an official announcement acknowledging the slowness? Are you aware?

Ok, I think part of the problem is that I am requesting data from MARS and this is slow. Strange that 2m_temperature data for 2020 would be stored on MARS and not CDS disks. Is that right?
If I look at my active requests and I see that label “CDS-MARS request”, can I assume it will be a slow MARS archive request? (screenshot attached)
