CDS - IP range

Following the move to the new CDS infrastructure on 23/3/22, the IP address range to download data from the Climate Data Store (CDS) is now:

  • 136.156.152.0/22

Is this perhaps the cause of connection issues that I and others have been having recently?  See 2 new posts today (Sat, 28 March).  If we need to make CDSAPI requests differently, please provide guidance.  Thanks.     Best, Mark

is the python cdsapi using special ports? Does anyone know which ones or is it a normal http request?

The API uses standard HTTP(S) port(s).
