Certificate verify failed in CDS API request

I get this error when trying to download ERA5 data with a CDS API beta request. This is a new problem, since it worked one or two weeks ago.

requests.exceptions.SSLError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host=‘cds-beta.climate.copernicus.eu’, port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /api/retrieve/v1/processes/reanalysis-era5-single-levels-monthly-means (Caused by SSLError(SSLCertVerificationError(1, ‘[SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: certificate has expired (_ssl.c:1000)’)))
