I am investigating the impacts of land-surface heterogeneity, and I was wondering how ERA5 represents land use and land cover (LULC). Does the ERA5 assimilation system incorporate any temporally evolving LULC datasets, or does it rely on a static classification (e.g., the climatological ECOCLIMAP or similar)?
