CORDEX Downloading - Slower after July update

Dear All,

I have been downloading CORDEX data via API and it seems very slow recently. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

I have the same big problem (also by API). I’ve been downloading data from Cordex since Monday and have been waiting nine hours for the 2MB data. I don’t have much time to get the job done. Additionally, I see that data from CMIp6 has also been queued for several hours.

I have been downloading GBs and it’s the same waiting time (at best, 7/8 hours). It worked smoothly until a few days ago. And it’s getting worse and worse. I requested data samples from a chain yesterday at 3pm. Nowhere near completion.

I modified the API script to reflect the philosophy of the updated release including the download variables for multiple years on a limited area and the speed has increased.

I didn’t modify my API scripts. After 3:30 PM yesterday, queue times dropped from 9 hours to minutes, and I downloaded the missing years 2041-2070 and the historical 1976-2005 Cordex, as well as 50 other requests for Cordex data, cmip6… for the Climamax report. Thanks if anyone had any input on this, etc.
