Why is the difference between these two datasets nearly double in September 2022 and similar in July 2022  about  total precipitation data

Hi,

There is indeed an issue affecting the ERA5-Land daily monthly accumulated fields which was recently identified. The issue coincided with the move of the data centre to Bologna (on the ATOS). The Reanalysis team is working actively to confirm the extent of the issue before fixing it. This is taking a bit of time however. An announcement will be posted on this Forum (C3S Announcements) as soon as we will have more details from the Reanalysis team.

While daily monthly means accumulated fields are incorrect since August 2022, the synoptic monthly means are ok. 

So until the issue is fully addressed, you could use the 'monthly_averaged_reanalysis_by_hour_of_day' time=00
