ERA5 post-processed daily maxima 6-hour frequency - accumulated variable?

Hello! In the case of 6-hour frequency sampling, do the daily maximum precipitation correspond to the average 1-hour intensity or the accumulation over 6 hours? Many thanks!

Hi, many thanks! It was not clear to me from the documentation before, so I just compared both datasets. I am afraid 1h means it uses 24 hourly values (timesteps 0 to 23), while 6h means it uses only four hourly values (timesteps 5, 11, 17, and 23). In this case, the units will be mm/hour in all cases, but the 6-hour sampling will provide a less robust result? Thanks in advance!
