ERA5 surface atmospheric pressure “scale factor” and “add_offset”

Hello,

From ERA5 I extracted several surface atmospheric pressure time series in NetCDF format.

I can not find an explanation about the "scale_factor" and "add_offset" parameters used to transform the "surface_air_pressure" to the values saved in the NetCDF files. Please, could you help pointing out where to look for?
