European Air Quality information in support of the COVID-19 crisis now available from the CAMS website

In the context of the worldwide COVID-19 crisis, there is increased interest in changing air quality and the following information is provided by CAMS:

  • maps showing daily average surface NO2 and PM10 concentrations based on the latest CAMS regional analyses.
  • Time series of surface concentrations of the key pollutants NO2 and PM10 for capitals and other largest cities in Europe (50 in total), starting on 1 February 2020, updated weekly.
  • Animations of the hourly variations of PM10 and NO2 at the surface over the last month illustrating how variable the concentrations of these pollutants are over short timescales.
  • Questions & Answers (e.g. How are COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown measures expect to affect air quality?)
