We are pleased to announce today the publication of an improved version of the Randolph Glacier Inventory v7.0 (RGI v7.0), which is a world inventory of curated glacier outlines. It is directly accessible from the Climate Data Store (CDS) through the following catalogue entry:
In this version there are two main novelties:
- Added two new spatial resolutions (0.5° and 0.1°), complementing the existing 1° resolution.
- All three resolutions are provided in raster format, complementing the vector (shapefile) format of the inventory.
Documentation has been updated accordingly.
Users can download the data via the CDS web interface using the download form or programmatically using the CDS API.
