Global climate and energy indicators (1950–present) derived from reanalysis outputs using a different format compared to the previous Europe-focused dataset (1979–present)

Hello,

The new “Global climate and energy indicators from 1950 to present derived from reanalysis” data source which was created to replace the “Climate and energy indicators for Europe from 1979 to present derived from reanalysis” outputs the data in a very different way as well as not allowing for the same data retrieval.

Specifically, I am wanting to retrieve the climate variables for Europe for multiple years on a monthly basis. Using the old data source this was easily obtainable as a single .csv for all the years and months of interest. Now, I cant just access the European countries and in addition a single .csv is created for each individual month. Is there a better way to do this, similar to how the old source worked? If not, is there a plan to align this process with the old data source?

I should also add this takes significantly longer as well - I assume a combination of more data (as you can no longer just get Europe data so are forced to use Global) and also writing to a single .csv for each time period…
