I have tried obtaining this ERA5 800 mb daily (or hourly) temperature data by many approaches [web site, API, the same data located on google site] and they either timeout or because the request is way over the request size I would have to make 85 download requests. However, I have no problem getting hourly 2 meter temperature data at a single point for the entire 1940-2026 record. That’s a much bigger ask than daily temperature data at a single point for the same period at 800 mb.
