Thank you to all teams who have spent considerable time getting their models ready for the continuation of the AI Weather Quest. The continuation of the Quest includes two new variables, tropical storms and MJO phase probabilities.
On this topic, we will update weekly the Excel file listing all successful submissions of tropical storm days (TS) and MJO phase probability forecasts. Currently, the attached Excel file lists all successful submissions until and including the second (initialisation date: 20 Aug 2026) of the SON26 bridge period so you can confirm that yours was successfully submitted:

The file is organised by competition week and variable:
- window 1 = Week 3 forecast
- window 2 = Week 4 forecast
- TS, MJO = Forecast variables
Open the ‘full information models’ tab to view the names of teams and models that submitted forecasts.
