We are pleased to announce that the first batch of the second-generation Copernicus Arctic Regional Reanalysis called Copernicus pan-Arctic Regional Reanalysis (CARRA2) datasets have been published in the Climate Data Store (CDS) on 10-12-2025:
- pan-Arctic regional reanalysis sub-daily data from 1986 to present;
- pan-Arctic regional reanalysis daily and monthly data from 1986 to present;
The CARRA2 datasets include:
- All 4 level types (single, model, height and pressure level) in the same entry;
- Spatial subsetting option to avoid the need to download large files;
- Sub-daily and daily/monthly data available in separate entries.
This first data batch includes 24 years of intermittent data. The full 40 years (1986-2025) will be ready in mid-2026.
