New datasets published in the CDS: Precipitation monthly and daily gridded data from 2000 to 2017 derived from satellite microwave observations

We are pleased to announce that a new dataset has been published in the Climate Data Store (CDS):

Global estimates of daily accumulated and monthly means of precipitation are based on a merge of passive microwave observations from two different radiometer classes:

  • Conically scanning MW imagers;
  • Cross-track scanning MW sounders.

The dataset may now be downloaded from the Climate Data Store either interactively using the CDS web interface ("Download data") or programmatically using the CDS API service.
