We are pleased to announce that the new version 2.0.0 of the Global land surface atmospheric variables from 1755 to present from comprehensive in-situ observations dataset has been published on the Climate Data Store (CDS) on 24-09-2025.
The new version includes:
- data up to the year 2024.
- many more stations: +50% for the sub-daily data (now serving over 29 thousand stations), +15% for the daily data (now serving over 86 thousand stations), +14% for the monthly data now serving over 83 thousand stations.
This dataset is a consolidated version formed from many inputs, across the globe, and benefits from a strong collaboration with international partners.
