We are pleased to announce that the new version 2.0.0 of the Global marine surface meteorological variables from 1850 to present from comprehensive in-situ observations dataset has been published on the Climate Data Store (CDS) on 24-03-2026.
The new version includes:
- data up to the year 2024;
- additional data, in particular from drifting buoys (1978-2019) reprocessed for Copernicus In Situ by the Copernicus Reprocessing of Argos and Iridium Drifters (C-RAID) project.
This dataset is a consolidated version formed from many inputs, across the globe, and benefits from a strong collaboration with international partners.
