We are pleased to announce that the new version (v2.5) of the Copernicus Interactive Climate Atlas (C3S Atlas) viewer and related dataset have been published on the Climate Data Store (CDS).
The new version of the viewer includes some new features such as:
- New time-period selector for interactive exploration of historical and future changes
- Side-by-side map comparison of datasets (e.g. global versus regional climate projections)
- New extreme climatology products based on 1-in-20-year events
- Enhanced treatment of standardised indices (e.g. SPI6/SPEI6) using wet/dry condition categories
- Support for user-defined regions through GeoJSON import
- Comprehensive provenance information for input datasets, complementing the product description
- New welcome window with expanded guidance, information, and useful links
The new version of the dataset includes:
- Reanalysis information (ERA5, ERA5-Land, and CERRA) updated through 2025
- E-OBS new version and updated through 2024
