Good morning,
for a project of our Italian company we will download daily through “CAMS - European air quality forecasts optimised at observation sites” data of pollutants such as NO2 or PM.
Since we will install monitoring stations for NO2, CO, SO2, O3, and PM10, we would like to know if it will be possible to insert these stations in your database to contribute to the project.
Matteo
Good morning,
Is there a way to “up” the discussion properly?
Hello Matteo,
Thank you for your interest in the CAMS forecasts. Currently, the CAMS regional forecasts, including those optimised at observation sites, are using the regulated air quality observations, which are submitted by the EU member states to the European Environment Agency, as its input. This ensures that CAMS uses documented quality-controlled data from one access point. CAMS is exploring how it can also use other sources of observations, such as through citizen-science initiatives, but this will take time as there are many aspects to take into account. We are therefore not in a position at the moment to ingest your observations.
Best regards,
Richard Engelen
Deputy Director of CAMS
Hello Richard,
Thank you very much for your reply. If it’s not a problem, I’ll try to ask again in the next few months in case there are new developments.
KR,
Matteo
