Dear CAMS EGG4 Support Team,
I am currently using the CAMS Global Greenhouse Gas Reanalysis (EGG4) dataset for scientific research.
According to the CAMS Validation Report (2024, D82.4.2.2) (https://atmosphere.copernicus.eu/sites/default/files/publications/CAMS2_82_2023SC2_D82.4.2.2-2024_EGG4_2003_2023_v1.2.pdf), a rerun of EGG4 Version 2 was completed, which:
- extends the dataset through December 2023,
- reprocesses the period from October 2018 onward, and
- is described in the report as being “made available on the Atmosphere Data Store (ADS).”
However, when I search the ADS website and use the CDS/ADS API, I can only find the original EGG4 dataset covering 2003–2020. The dataset metadata also indicates that it was published in 2021, and I cannot locate any updated dataset or a separate “Version 2”.
Could you please clarify the following?
- Has EGG4 Version 2 (covering 2003–2023) been publicly released?
- If so, could you provide the corresponding ADS dataset link or dataset ID?
- If not, is there a planned release date for the updated dataset?
