Join us at the 7th joint Training in Atmospheric Composition organised by Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), the European Space Agency - ESA, and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts - ECMWF with the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) which will be held 13 to 17 October 2025 in Brussels!
Registration for the next joint training on atmospheric composition is open until 29 June: Apply here for the joint training (13-17 Oct) | EUMETSAT
An exciting event aimed to provide an end-to-end overview of observations, remote sensing and modelling, and to foster collaboration amongst participants for the development of individual and team projects using the data, resources and methodologies presented.
2025 theme: Advanced Atmospheric Composition Products & Applications with an emphasis on aerosols.
Key topics:
- Atmospheric processes: aerosols, secondary organic aerosol production, associated chemical species, air quality
- Modelling: global/regional; analysis / re-analysis / forecast; bias correction & downscaling; data assimilation
- Emissions: inventories, inverse modelling (including aerosol precursors)
- Observations: spaceborne, in-situ, remote sensing retrievals, methods and analysis, exploitation
- Operational applications and services: policies; applications & services.
Online Lectures: 1-2 and 9-10 October 2025 (tentative dates)
Onsite Training: 13-17 October 2025, Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB)
The onsite training course is limited to 30 participants; online lectures will be available for streaming to a wider audience.
