In the past few years, I could download ERA5 smoothly and successfully using CDS API. But now I have to migrate to the new CDS API. Should I uninstall the old CDS API before installing new CDS API？I need a step-by step instruction. Thanks.

You need to check that you have the correct version of the cdsapi package installed (>=0.7.2) in your environment. You can uninstall the package and re-install it or upgrade it.
