Following a significant software and hardware upgrade on April 30, 2024, some CDS users may notice some very small differences (compared to data previously downloaded) in GRIB field values for a handful of parameters and only when data is regridded (using the “grid” keyword via their API request).
To be clear, the small differences are not scientifically relevant .
The datasets made available from the Climate Data Store (CDS) which may be impacted are those hosted on the CDS/‘MARS internal’ and on ‘MARS external’.
Users downloading the above mentioned datasets using the CDS web interface (Download form) to download the data are not concerned with this announcement.
