Snow depth water equivalent- ERA5 Land

Hi,

I have read some previous threads about selecting 00UTC for accumulated precipitation for the day as given in this table

Conversion table for accumulated variables (total precipitation/fluxes)

I wanted to know if we need to select 00UTC for another variable 'snow depth water equivalent' too?

I was trying to compare SWE values of different datasets and found ERA5L values exceptionally high. I had downloaded data for all time steps and that seems to be creating the issue here.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

the table is valid for accumulated variables.

Snow depth of water equivalent is an instantaneous parameter, so it refers to a specific point in time.

Thanks

Michela

Thanks Michela.
I had another question about the units of snow depth water equivalent. If I download monthly average values, the units are in m/day or m/month?
Thanks
