Suspect value for SSRD (surface solar radiation downward)

Hello,

While trying to compute the maximum surface solar radiation downward (ssrd) on the open sea in the last ten years, I came across a value that seems odd. Indeed, the maximum value across the sea seems to be reached in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at the latitude 15°N.

If I compute the max ssrd per latitude across the open sea, I see easily that there is a suspect value.

Looking to the time history, it appears the value of 1216W/m² is reached for one hour in 2015 (20/05/2005 at 4pm).

I don't know how to report this, but it seems unlikely that value is correct. Is there a way to mark it as wrong ? Maybe it is already done, but I have not seen anything on that.

Regards,

Timothée
