Technical issue with CDS API on legacy cds - API on CDS-Beta is not affected!

, ,

The API service on the legacy system (cds.climate.copernicus.eu) is experiencing technical issues. This is in part due to the CDS system remaining under heavy use while resources continue to be gradually reduced. API access to many datasets on the legacy Climate Data Store is unfortunately disrupted and users should avoid using it until further notice or migrate to using API on CDS-Beta.

The Data Stores team is looking into ways to improve the situation.

Again, CDS API on CDS-Beta is not affected - users are strongly encouraged to migrate to CDS-Beta (please refer to our Informative page).

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Is decadal forecast free or requires payment for a small company of three?

I think the CDS Beta is affected. Allof my jobs are failing with an error ‘internal server error’.

As of today 26th September 2024, legacy CDS has been decommissioned and is no longer accessible. All API requests attempting to retrieve data from the legacy system will systematically fail. No further support will be provided on the legacy system.

Please refer to our announcement about the New CDS: Goodbye legacy Climate Data Store, Hello New Climate Data Store (CDS)!
