I am currently downloading data from the S2S real-time dataset : ECMWF | S2S, ECMWF, Realtime, Daily averaged
Until very recently, my requests were processed almost immediately.
However, since yesterday (around 25–26 March 2026), all submissions have been remaining in the queue for a very long time before processing begins.
After checking the Web API activity page:
Log in to ECMWF
it appears that many other users’ requests are experiencing similar delays, suggesting this may be a system-wide issue rather than something specific to my scripts or account.
I am wondering whether the current delays could be related to this transition (e.g., backend changes, reduced priority of the legacy interface, or ongoing migration work).
This dataset is essential for my weekly forecast workflow, and I am concerned about whether I will be able to obtain the required data in time this week.

Issue is known and being investigated internally.

ECMWF were receiving a lot of ‘long-running’ requests which slowed things down. This has now been resolved and you should be able to access S2S data easily.
